EXCHANGE OF IDEAS ON CROSS- BORDER TOURISM DEVELOPING 09-13.04.2018

The project organized and hold by GIZ in Kakhetia Province of Georgia was directed on Cross Border Tourism development in South Caucasus. Main participants were from Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. And the advisers were from Germany. GIZ representatives from Albania shared their experience in the field.

Our Moderator Adrian Taylor lead two days of interactive session of brainstorming as well as exchange of ideas on cross-border tourism developing.

Practical part, presented on the photos was directed to the field trip exploring the country life, horse riding, eco village, restaurants and guest houses as well as the cultural sites.

Armenian delegation was represented by GIZ, TSC, AGG, Tourism department of Ministry of Economics and OSCE office as well as representatives of private tour agencies like “Armenia Travel+M” and local B&B holders.

AGG and BUSVOYAGE

Armenian Guides Guild has launched one-month course of English for tourist bus drivers of BUSVOYAGE company to develop their communication skills. The course is delivered by AGG guide, national trainer Roza Atanesyan. The free course covers elementary grammar, the topical vocabulary and expressions necessary in drivers job. This will improve the quality of their services and performance standards.

Ps This program has a beautiful story, which tells importance of the unity, cooperation and mutual assistance of all tourism branch sectors.

THE GREAT SILK ROAD: Cooperation without borders

The 2nd International Forum of Guides THE GREAT SILK ROAD: cooperation without borders started at the Gallery of Fine Arts, in Tashkent. The event is being held within the framework of the International Tourist Guide Day.

The event, organized jointly by the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Ministry of Culture, the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is being attended by representatives of the tourism sector from such countries as Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, as well as the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations, national guide associations, international experts.

Armenia represented by the Armenian Guild of Guides is also one of two international training centers of the World Federation of Tourist Guides Associations on the Silk Road. The President of the Armenian Guild of Guides Liya Bakhshinyan held a master class for excursions as part of the forum.
